Taylor attended her first daddy daughter royal ball. She and Megan wanted to go together so Alex and Megan, Steve and Taylor went to dinner first and then to the dance. Taylor had such a good time. She learned how to waltz, had their pictures taken, made a cute frame for the picture and even got her fingernails painted my Steve. Notice the big burn on the side of Taylor's face? (I am an awful mother---I burned her face with the curling iron on the morning of school pictures--isn't that just great)? When Steve and Taylor came home---they danced the night away and then decided that they needed to finish their night off with ice cream so at 11:00 they went to TCBY and bought ice cream---they were kind enough to bring some home for me too. I will try and post a little video I took with my camera of them practicing the waltz after they got home. I have to say that Taylor had the best night and went to bed with a smile on her face. She has such a special relationship with her dad.

That brought tears to my eyes. Steve's such a great dad. The burn on Taylor's face is evidence that you are a good mom; it's the fact that you were taking the time to do her hair. I can't believe how grown up she looks. So cute.

I'm with Angela. Truly a sign of a good mom. She'll understand someday. I wish I had to curl Cate's hair. She begs me to flat iron that mop. Oh Well! I really wish I could have seen all of those girls there. I'm just sure I would have cried my little eyes out! :)
